The story of Olli and Mahesh.
How We Met
Two men from vastly different backgrounds - cultures, languages, ethnicities, and personalities, crossed paths on a dating app and agreed to meet at a friend’s birthday party. The next 24 hours included dancing, studying at the library, the best Chinese food (by Iowa City standards*) for lunch, a Hugh Jackman movie in the theater, the best Indian food (by Iowa City standards*) for dinner, and a memorable goodnight kiss. We’ve been together ever since.
The Proposal
Still a mystery. He says I proposed. I say he did. Truth is, we were probably already mentally married, so the idea of an “official proposal” never really occurred to us. We know. Weird. Or should we say… queered. :D

The Invite
It started with a message from Olli on a dating app. With a lovely notification that went Grrrrrr. We had a small chat, and I quickly invited him to my friend's birthday party as my Plus-One.

First Meeting
The day when it all started. Mahesh met the cutest guy, who turned out to be friends and classmates with the birthday girl's roommate.

The 24 hour date.
We partied that night, Olli stayed over. We had breakfast, we studied a little at the library, Olli took Mahesh to a nice Chinese lunch, then we went for a movie, then Mahesh took Olli to a nice Indian dinner and we have been lovers since then. :)
